GIS环境作为一个异构、分布的环境,人们越来越认识到将中间件应用于GIS的必要性,而中间件的技术主要有DCOM和CORBA,两者各有优势.为此,提出了一个基于COM/CORBA的GIS应用模型,以充分利用两者的优点.
