介绍了出版物文献联机检索系统ProQuest Direct的概况,可检索的数据库、选库的一般原则、路径,检索途径,可检索字段及编码,布尔逻辑符、词间位置及优先级,检索时间限制以及为提高查全率和查准率在检索词选用时的注意事项等,为读者通过Internet进行文献检索提供参考。
