Abstract：
Based on the brief introduction of western contemporary eco-philosophies and Lao Zi’s eco-philosophy,there will be an analysis of the differences according to historical context and critical target and their convergence.The analysis leads to the conclusion that eco-philosophies,whether contemporary or ancient,are against any form of domination and centrism.
