比喻作为一种常用的修辞方式,汉语和英语有其共性,然而由于地域、国俗、物质、宗教以及历史文化上两民族存在着差异,造成了喻体选择的差异.翻译比喻时应遵循等效原则,运用多种方法正确处理英汉文化间差异.
