Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ruthenium-based catalyst for hydrogen production from ammonia decomposition with high stability, high decomposition catalytic activity at low and medium temperatures, high dispersion of ruthenium metal and good toxic tolerance.
SOLUTION : There is provided a ruthenium-based catalyst for hydrogen production from ammonia decomposition, comprising an active component, a promoter and a carrier, wherein the active component is ruthenium, the promoter is Cs and/or K. There is also provided a preparation method of the ruthenium-based catalyst for hydrogen production from ammonia decomposition including the steps of : 1) preparing a mixture by mixing, grinding and collecting a basic magnesium carbonate, an activated carbon, a basic cerium carbonate, molybdenum oxide, tungsten oxide, barium carbonate and a carbonate of an alkali metal; 2) molding the mixture to obtain a molded product; 3) impregnating the molded product in an aqueous solution of a precursor of Ru and an aqueous solution of a precursor of Cs and/or K successively, and taking out the impregnated molded product after the impregnating is completed; and 4) subjecting the impregnated molded product to drying, reduction and calcination successively to obtain the ruthenium-based catalyst for hydrogen production from ammonia decomposition.
