Abstract:
In this paper, a new electromagnetic (EM) invisibility cloak is proposed utilizing phase gradient metasurfaces. The metasurfaces with high transmission efficiency are first design based on the generalized Snell's law and then verified by the phenomenon of abnormal refraction. By the proper arrangement of the metasurfaces, a transmissive invisibility cloak is constructed to guide the EM wave to travel round the cloaked rhombic region. The plane-wave illumination is applied in simulations and the result validates this new method. © 2021 IEEE.
