Abstract:

This paper presents a Risley prism inspired circularly-polarized 2D beam steerable antenna with large beam-scanning range, high gain and wide bandwidth. It consists of a feed horn and two planar metasurface transmitarrays. The main beam of the antenna could continuously scan within a large conical region through rotating TA1 and TA2 separately. The simulations successfully verify the design prediction. Simulated peak gain is 27.1dBi at 29GHz and gain variation over the conical scanning range (0 © 2021 IEEE.
