Abstract:
To obtain the relationship between contact degradation status and thermal behavior of Gas-insulated Bus (GIB), this paper builds multi-physics finite- element (FE) model of GIB, then the current-carrying friction test platform of GIB contact is set up, which is used to carry out contact degradation test under cyclic load. Exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) algorithm is used to extract long-term degradation law of contact and acquire resistance of GIB in multiple operation time. Based on the electrical-thermal-fluid coupling model and the long-term degradation law of contact, this paper analyzes temperature rise characteristic of tank and contact under multiple operation time. The result shows that there is material transfer on the contact surface, and the overheating defect has arisen because of the increase of contact resistance. In the operation of 1, 5, 10, 20, 40 and 50 years, the contact resistance are 173 μΩ, 622 μΩ, 690 μΩ, 542 μΩ, 1304 μΩ and 1220 μΩ, and the contact temperature rise are 33.2 , 66.8 , 71.3 , 61 , 114.2 and 108.2 . The research results can provide theoretical support for life cycle temperature rise prediction and maintenance of GIB. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
