Abstract:

In this paper, the research progress of the multi-joint snake robot at home and abroad is summarized, which points out the way for the future research direction of the multi-joint snake robot. First of all, we describe the current research status of the multi-joint snake robot by famous researchers at home and abroad, and show the current experimental prototype of the multi-joint snake robot. Then, we compare different robot driving forms and key technical issues at home and abroad, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the different robots, and clarify the future development trend of the multi-joint snake robot. Finally, we analyze the development direction and research trend of the multi-joint snake robot, which lays a solid theoretical foundation for the theoretical and experimental research of the multi-joint snake robot. © 2022 IEEE.
