Abstract:
The electromagnetic wave interference and electromagnetic heat loss generated by the inductor in the LC filter in the integrated circuit have an awful impact on the performance and stability of the integrated circuit. This paper proposes a square spiral inductor that dedicated to LC filtering in integrated circuits. Based on the finite element multiphysical simulation, the multiphysical coupling research of the square spiral inductor is carried out. The results show that under low-frequency excitation, the electric field mode intensity at the groove is the largest, and it tend to generate electromagnetic interference to the surrounding area. In practical use, it is necessary to provide insulation protection for the concentrated arc length range of 50mmm200mm. Under high-frequency excitation, it is necessary to suppress the distribution of the electromagnetic field in space and reduce the electromagnetic interference to the peripheral components of the integrated circuit. The electromagnetic heat loss is obvious at the tiny corners, and the highest volume loss densities are 4.96*1011W/m3 and 6.61*1010 W/m3. © 2022 IEEE.
