Abstract:

A broadband high-gain four-port MIMO antenna suitable for 5G millimeter wave frequency band is designed. The antenna structure is simple, and the X-shaped radiation patch is used to achieve bandwidth and impedance matching at 40GHz. The designed MIMO antenna array uses a linear array arrangement, the antenna bandwidth is 8.3GHz (36GHz44.3GHz), and the isolation between each array element is lower than -25dB. At the same time, the gain of the MIMO antenna array is as high as 12.6dB, which can effectively suppress millimeter waves atmospheric attenuation and path loss problems in communication. The radiation pattern of the antenna also exhibits good symmetry, which is suitable for 5G millimeter wave communication. © 2023 IEEE.
