Abstract:
In order to address the global challenges of sustainability of marine concrete structures while improving the durability of marine renewable energy infrastructure, this paper is the first to investigate the degradation of the axial compressive properties of profiled steel reinforced concrete (SRC) structures in wind turbine towers under chloride salt attack. To study the effects of different chloride ion concentration, corrosion duration, corrosion current and slenderness ratio on the failure mode and performance degradation of steel reinforced concrete columns under axial compression, twelve SRC composite long column specimens were designed, and corrosion test, axial compression test and numerical analysis were carried out. Based on Mander confined concrete constitutive model, the calculation formula of compressive strength of SRC columns under different confined stresses is proposed, and the theoretical prediction model and numerical analysis model of chlorine erosion bearing capacity of corroded SRC composite long columns are established, and the extended parameter analysis is carried out. The research results can effectively guide the performance evaluation of SRC structures in wind turbine towers under coastal hygrothermal coupling. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd
