Abstract :
Enterprise digital transformation can reshape corporate internal governance models, but it may also influence the workforce in the firms. This study explores the impact of enterprise digital transformation on employee treatment. We find that, enterprise digital transformation significantly promotes better employee treatment. Mechanism analysis reveals that the improvement of internal control and labor income share are potential pathways. Furthermore, the positive correlation between digital transformation and employee treatment is more pronounced in non-stateowned enterprises, technology-oriented firms, and firms with higher operational risk. Moreover, the results suggest that enterprise digital transformation can further enhance corporate value by improving employee treatment. The research suggests that the improvement of digital transformation can be an effective factor for the firms to enhance labor relations.

Abstract :
Using a sample of private enterprises listed on China's A-shares from 2003 to 2021, we find that, identity issues increase the degree of short-term debt for long-term investments. Furthermore, mechanism tests indicate that identity issues aggravate the short-term debt for long-term investment by exacerbating information asymmetry, increasing operational risk and financing cost. We also reveal that the influence of identity issues weakens with high corporate analyst attention and strong board of directors' independence. The study contributes to the literature by examining the impacts of private enterprises' identity issues on financial decision-making from the evidence from China.

Abstract :
This paper investigates the international accounting network memberships' impact on audit fees. We find that, firstly, the audit fees charged by the member audit firms are significantly higher; secondly, if the revenue, ranking or audit and accounting business share of the international network the audit firm join is higher, the charge is also higher. Additional results show that economic policy uncertainty will intensify this positive relationship, and member audit firms charge higher fees by improving their overseas expertise. We also find that international network memberships will reduce abnormal audit fees, and improve the quality of financial reports.

党的二十届三中全会提出深化整治权力集中、资金密集、资源富集领域腐败.国有企业是权力集中、资金密集、资源富集的交汇点.在新时代,有必要对国有企业内部审计体制进行整体性重构,以充分发挥内部审计力量,推动国有企业反腐时间窗口前移,进而实现从事后反腐向事中反腐和事前防腐的转变.本文主要论证加强党对国有企业内部审计全面领导的制度逻辑、理论逻辑和历史逻辑,创新性地提出国有企业内部审计体制应进行整体性重构,变革为隶属于党委(党组)审计委员会直接领导,构建国有企业集团内部审计垂直领导制,实行总审计师的中央或地方各级审计委员会办公室直接委派制.为此,进一步提出与这一改革相适应的配套政策措施,以期推动我国国有企业内部审计工作的高质量发展.本文的理论推断、研究结论与政策建议同样适用于中央和地方各级党政部门、事业单位和人民团体等单位内部审计体制的整体性重构.

Abstract :
In this study, we provide evidence on the effect of introducing state-owned shareholders in non-state-owned enterprises from the perspective of firms' short-term debt for long-term investment. Using Chinese Non-SOEs listed companies from 2010 to 2020 as the sample, we find that the introduction of state-owned shareholders in Non-SOEs significantly promotes the level of short-term debt for long-term investment. We also find the scale of short-term debt, the scale of long-term investment and the quality of internal control play a mediating effect in the relationship between the mixed-ownership reform and the short-term debt for long-term investment. Regional marketization level, economic downcycle, regional banks competition level, the economic policy uncertainty and the firms' market competition power can influence the effect of introducing state-owned share-holders in Non-SOEs. Further, our analysis of the economic consequences of the short-term debt for long-term investment implemented by Non-SOEs demonstrates that it indeed can reduce the cost of debt financing. Overall, the results shed light on the effectiveness of the mixed-ownership reform, and our findings enrich the literature of investment and financing strategy and provides empirical evidence to promote the mixed-ownership reform.

以2007—2016年我国A股上市公司为研究样本,探讨战略变革如何影响审计师变更.研究发现:战略变革程度越高,公司越可能发生审计师变更,表明公司内部战略的改变可能导致与第三方监督者的关系重构;相比非国有企业,国有企业的战略变革导致审计师变更的可能性更低.进一步地,从客户选择和审计师辞聘两个视角挖掘审计师变更的深层次原因,发现战略变革更易导致不具备行业专长或声誉较低的审计师发生变更;另外,风险较小公司的审计师更可能因为战略变革而辞聘客户;此外,研究还发现更换审计师加剧了战略变革对企业财务报告质量的负向影响.

高质量的内部控制有利于完善企业内部激励机制,进而促进企业经营效率效果的提升.然而,现有研究多集中于管理层视角,对普通员工的激励效果则缺乏关注.从员工视角出发,以2014—2017年我国A股上市公司为样本,考察了内部控制对上市公司员工持股计划的影响.研究发现:内部控制质量越高,公司内部推行员工持股计划的可能性越大;同时,内部控制能够显著提高员工持股计划实施后的企业长期绩效.进一步地,内部控制对推行员工持股计划的影响在薪酬激励水平较低、非国有企业和业绩波动较大的企业中更加显著.这意味着,有效的内部控制不仅能够有助于推进员工持股计划,还将提升员工持股计划的实施效果.有效的内部控制将为完善员工激励机制提供重要的保障.
