Abstract :
This investigation primarily centers on the reachable-set-based bumpless transfer control (BTC) for the synchronization of switched neutral-type neural networks (SNNNs). In order to mitigate the conservatism inherent in the traditional state-dependent switching strategies (SDSSs) and combined switching strategies (CSSs), an improved CSS leveraging the historical information of neuron states and neutral delay is developed. By constructing a time-dependent multiple Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (TDMLF) technique, a less conservative criterion for reachable set estimation (RSE) is first established. In the subsequent, the established design framework is further employed by the BTC for the synchronization of SNNNs. The corresponding synchronization criterion is derived, which ensures that the resultant synchronization error influenced by bounded external inputs can be confined to an anticipated bounded set. Also, the underlying control bumps at switching instants during switching instants are effectively constrained to a specific level. Ultimately, the practicability and superiority of the proposed design framework are confirmed via two simulation examples.

Abstract :
In this paper, a family of amplitude limited controllers and a hysteresis switching paradigm, for switched positive systems with time-varying delays, are simultaneously determined to achieve strict (q, r)-alpha-dissipativity. The concept of strictly (q, r)-alpha-dissipative, induced by linear-type dissipative inequalities, is introduced. The main feature of the presented method lies in two aspects. The first one is that the magnitude of controller discontinuities, at the occurrence of switching, is here restricted. The other one is that the high switching frequency is refrained commonly the appearance of in state-dependent switching schemes. Moreover, dissipativity analysis as well as feedback dissipativity are taken into account. Novel criteria are derived for the considered systems to be dissipativity by resorting to multi-linear copositive storage functionals. Eventually, the validity and superiority of the presented control strategy are demonstrated through two illustrative examples.

Abstract :
This work is concerned with the L-1 bumpless transfer control issue for switched positive delayed systems on finite horizons. A bumpless transfer input scheme and a state-dependent limited frequency switching scheme, induced by the transient control input discontinuities during controller switching and by the frequent switching for multiple subsystems, respectively, are jointly introduced. The main advantages of the presented schemes are that the amplitude of the control input discontinuities and the frequent switches are all reduced by the dual design of bumpless transfer controllers for subsystems and a state-dependent limited frequency switching scheme. By utilizing the multiple linear copositive Lyapunov functionals, sufficient conditions are also offered so as to achieve the desirable closed-loop performances, including positivity, finite-time boundedness, bumpless transfer property and a prescribed L-1-gain property. Finally, a practical example is borrowed which validates the proposed schemes.

This research concerns asymptotic stability and robust stability for switched positive Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems subject to dwell-time constraints. The switched positive T-S fuzzy systems consisting full of unstable positive subsystems are considered in this article. In order to handle this case, a time-dependent multiple copositive Lyapunov function method is developed together with a ranged dwell time switching policy. Then, the novel stability criteria with less conservativeness are derived for the investigative system, and the corresponding result is simultaneously extended to interval uncertainty systems concerning robust stability. Moreover, all criteria are presented in the form of linear vector inequalities. Eventually, two illustrative examples are utilized to verify the effectiveness of the proposed analysis framework.

Abstract :
The bumpless transfer (BT) control issue for switched positive systems (SPSs) with dissipativity is investigated in this brief. The aim is to achieve dissipativity of the SPSs while cutting down the unwanted big jumps of control input at switching points. The alleviation level of the control input jumps is described by the BT performance. By the multi-linear copositive storage functions methods, the switching laws and controllers are designed to solve the dissipativity-based BT control issue of SPSs in continuous-time and discrete-time. Under the established controllers and switching logics, subsystems are permitted not to ensure the dissipativity as well as the BT performance. Finally, a simulation case study of muscle relaxants in surgery reveals the superiority of the provided control method.

Abstract :
This research is concerned with finite-time stability and peak-to-peak performance analysis for the discrete-time switched generalized neural networks (SGNNs) with time-varying delay. Compared with the reported results, each individual subnetwork of the SGNNs is considered to be finite-time unstable in the present study. To accomplish the anticipatory objective, the quasi-time-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed, and the associated sufficient conditions are simultaneously formulated to confirm that the disturbance-free SGNNs are finite-time stable when the subnetwork satisfies a certain switching time interval. In addition, a prescribed disturbance attenuation level is also achieved for the perturbed SGNNs in the sense of peak-to-peak performance. Finally, the provided simulation example corroborates the effectiveness and applicability of the established finite-time analysis framework in the absence of finite-time stable subnetworks.

Abstract :
In this paper, the issues of stability and L1-gain performance analysis, by means of the multiple linear copositive Lyapunov function method, for switched positive systems defined on the nonnegative state space, are addressed. A vital feature of the developed switching strategy lies in relaxing the restriction that connecting adjacent Lyapunov functions at switching points is required. This allows us to introduce a gap at switching points to prevent chattering behavior. Then, with the help of the designed switching pol-icy, sufficient conditions of guaranteeing the solvability of the problems are established, and the proposed methodology is also extended to the case where all subsystems consist of interval type parameter uncertainties. Finally, through two examples, the validity and feasibility of the proposed methods are demonstrated.(c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Abstract :
This work studies the almost output tracking control problem via the co-design of controllers and a switching strategy for switched positive systems. For devising a hysteresis switching strategy, the nonnegative state space is divided into some subdomains, where each subdomain corresponds to an activated subsystem. The main advantage of the proposed methodology is that the switching frequency can be reduced in contrast to the min-switching based designs, and the almost output tracking control problem is allowed to be unsolvable for each subsystem. The almost output tracking criteria, based on multiple linear copositive Lyapunov functions are established in linear vector inequalities form, which ensures asymptotic convergence of the output tracking error to zero, the positivity as well as a prescribed L-1-gain index in presence of disturbances. Finally, the theoretical findings are applied to the output tracking control of the boost converter circuit.
