Configuration effect of resource and capability factors on the business ecological advantage of electric vehicle enterprises SCIE

Abstract :

The electric vehicle enterprise is a key force in meeting net zero targets, which is related to the future of the industry. In the context of business ecosystems, electric vehicle enterprises need to build competitive advantages to seek sustainable development. However, existing research mainly uses qualitative methods to explore the construction of business ecological advantage, lacking empirical data to support the combined effects of different factors. So, based on three hundred and twelve questionnaires from electric vehicle enterprises, this study analyses the configuration effects of five factors on business ecological advantage from the perspectives of resources and capabilities using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis, thereby revealing the multiple concurrent mechanisms for constructing business ecological advantage. The conclusions are as follows: firstly, resource orchestration, ecological niche, organizational creativity, organizational unlearning, and organizational resilience are not necessary conditions for constructing business ecological advantage when they work alone; Secondly, there are three paths to promote the construction of business ecological advantage, namely resource- driven value transformation, learning-driven value transformation, and resource orchestration-driven value growth. Thirdly, this study also identifies four paths that inhibit the construction of business ecological advantage, which have an asymmetric relationship with the promoting construction of business ecological advantage. This study expands the theory of business ecological advantages based on configurational thinking and uses empirical data to support the effective path of constructing business ecological advantage. And, this study provides a strategic reference for global traditional companies and new forces in car manufacturing to construct business ecological advantages.

Abstract :

This study examines the role of leisure participation on work passion, a critical yet understudied aspect of human resource management. Moving beyond traditional conflict-focused analyses of work-life balance, it delves into leisure’s role in fostering work passion among knowledge workers, considering the cross-domain resource gain. The research also considers the mediating effect of recovery experiences and the moderating role of organizational attachment. Data from a survey of 586 employees reveal an inverted U-shaped correlation between leisure participation and work passion. The extent and nature of leisure activities are vital to stimulating work passion. Recovery experiences partially mediate this relationship, indicating that leisure activities helping individuals rejuvenate and build positive resources can effectively enhance work passion. Insecure organizational attachment moderates this relationship, with external conditions and employees’ perceptions of their organization influencing the transformation of leisure-derived positivity into work passion. These findings offer fresh insights on the origins of work passion and practical strategies for addressing the prevalent issue of diminished work passion. © 2024 selection and editorial matter, Huimei Liu; individual chapters, the contributors.

Abstract :

近年来,我国新能源汽车企业面临政策退坡、竞争加剧等内忧外患,组织韧性作为企业抵御危机的重要能力是新能源汽车企业冲出危机的关键.基于已有组织韧性的理论研究,运用程序化扎根理论研究法,以新能源汽车企业为研究对象,对新能源汽车企业组织韧性的内涵和结构进行探索性研究,开发并验证了测量量表.研究发现,新能源汽车企业组织韧性是一个包括了资本韧性、战略韧性、关系韧性、技术韧性和领导力韧性的五维结构,其测量量表由5个因子、33个题项构成.因子分析结果表明,所开发量表具有较高的信度和效度,能够反映新能源汽车企业组织韧性的内涵,为后续研究提供了参考.

Abstract :

This study investigates how new-energy vehicle enterprises generate business ecological advantages to achieve sustainable development. Using 386 new-energy vehicle enterprises as research objects, this study employs structural equation modeling to construct a multiple chain mediation model of organizational resilience, ecological niches, resource orchestration, and business ecological advantages and analyzes the paths among them. The Bootstrap test in SPSS software is used to test the multiple mediators. The study finds that organizational resilience is the key factor driving the generation of business ecological advantages in new-energy vehicle enterprises. Ecological niche plays a complete mediating role between organizational resilience and business ecological advantages. Resource orchestration plays a complete mediating role between organizational resilience and business ecological advantages. Ecological niches and resource orchestration play a chain mediating role between organizational resilience and business ecological advantages. This study provides a new perspective to reveal the source and generation mechanism of new-energy vehicle enterprises' business ecological advantages, and also fills the theoretical gap formed by the lack of research on the mechanism of organizational resilience in the ecological context.

[目的/意义]危机无处不在,组织韧性是组织应对危机、转危为安的重要手段,其重要性越来越受到学界和业界的关注,但是中国情境下有关组织韧性的结构及其作用机制的研究依然不足.[方法/设计]运用程序化扎根理论,依据问题导向和理论抽样原则,选取六家企业在危机情境下的组织行为作为研究对象,探究组织韧性的结构及作用机制.[结论/发现]组织韧性包含组织认知调整、组织领导力、组织应对、组织资源性和自我更新能力五个维度;组织策略包含关系策略、市场策略和财务策略;组织成长包含市场份额增长、利润增长、员工增长、销售额增长及整体竞争力增长.组织韧性能够帮助组织采取恰当的组织策略以更好地应对危机,使得组织能够突出重围进而获得成长和发展.在此基础上构建了"危机——组织韧性——组织策略——组织成长"的理论框架,从组织韧性的激发措施、学习型组织的打造、数字化赋能的实现等层面提出了提升组织韧性的有效对策,为后续组织韧性研究提供了理论和实践指引.

"90后"新生代员工逐渐成为职场的中坚力量,探寻契合"90后"员工特性的新型管理方式迫在眉睫.越来越多的组织将游戏设计元素应用于管理实践活动,游戏化管理能够通过影响员工的心理状态和行为来激发员工工作激情,提高工作效率.游戏化管理研究是管理领域的新兴课题,日益受到学者们的广泛关注,文章从个体层面和组织层面对游戏化管理的概念内涵、影响因素、效应等方面进行系统综述,在此基础上指出现有研究的不足,提出未来研究的发展方向.

Abstract :

Organizational resilience is an important means of coping with crises. This concept has received much attention within both academia and industry. However, research on the definition and measurement of organizational resilience is still in the exploratory stage. To date, studies on organizational resilience have yielded mixed conclusions, which makes it difficult to provide specific recommendations for coping with crises. This paper uses an exploratory case study approach to explore the process of organizational resilience among six highly resilient companies: Southwest Airlines, Apple, Microsoft, Starbucks, Kyocera, and Lego. We employed grounded theory to distill the main characteristics of organizational resilience, to explore and validate its structural dimensions, and to develop a measurement scale for organizational resilience. Further, we conducted reliability and validity analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and validation factor analysis on the 526 valid data collected. Results show that organizational resilience includes five dimensions: capital resilience, strategic resilience, cultural resilience, relationship resilience, and learning resilience. The measurement scale has good reliability and validity, which better reflects the notion of organizational resilience. This study bridges the gaps in the existing literature on organizational resilience and its measurement scales, and provides a foundation for future research.

Abstract :

从组织与个人视角出发,探究工作重塑对员工创造力的影响,分析工作激情的中介作用与直观推断的调节作用.对526名员工的调查数据进行分析,研究结果表明,个体与组织工作重塑正向影响员工创造力,工作激情在工作重塑与员工创造力的关系间发挥部分中介效应,直观推断会调节工作激情对员工创造力的影响.通过实证研究,旨在为解释员工创造力的生成机制提供一个新的视角,为提升员工创造力提供实践指引.

Abstract :

创业失败修复的重要性越发受到学界和业界的关注,但是有关创业失败修复的内涵、维度及其测量的研究尚处于起步阶段.本文基于已有的创业失败修复理论研究,运用探索性案例研究方法,以连续创业者王兴的6次创业经历为研究对象,深入探索创业失败修复的过程机理,运用扎根理论并借助NVivo10软件对资料进行编码,提炼出创业失败修复的主要特征,探索、验证其结构维度,并开发相应的测量量表.研究发现,创业失败修复分为认知修复、情绪修复和行动修复三个维度.通过大规模的问卷调查,利用探索性因子分析和验证性因子分析结果显示,本研究开发的测量量表具有较高的信度和效度,能够较好地反映创业失败修复的内涵,弥补了已有创业失败修复研究测量量表缺失的不足,为后续研究提供参考.
