Abstract :
A multi-layered Al-Cu joint is achieved by vaporizing foil actuator welding (VFAW). The process of welding, tensile properties and microstructure of multi-layered Al-Cu joint are systematically investigated using numerical simulations and experiments. Micro-melting at the welding interface contributes to metallurgical bonding. When the impact velocity exceeds 430 m/s, a larger metallurgical bonding area is created between the two neighbouring sheets, which in turn increases the shear strength of the joint. Comparing to the Cu-Cu interface, the Al-Cu interface forms a distinct waveform because of the differences between the base material in hardness and density. Due to the rapid cooling rate of VFAW, a gradient structure containing nanocrystals and amorphous zone is formed between the matrices and the transition zone.

Abstract :
In this work, the vaporizing foil actuator welding (VFAW) has been used for impact welding of aluminum AA1060 to copper T2 sheets. The microstructural feature, mechanical properties, and electrical conductivity of Al-Cu welded joints were investigated. The VFAW process was simulated by LS-DYNA to analyze the effect of impact velocity and angle. The evolution of the microstructure of the welding interface was revealed by smoothed particle hydrodynamics numerical simulation. The qualities of Al-Cu joints were evaluated by microstructure observations, lap shear tensile testing and resistance measurements. The results show that the Al-Cu joints have a flat welding interface at the discharge voltage of 8 kV, but the joints failed at the interface due to the residual Al2O3. Owing to the change in interfacial effective plastic strain and impact pressure, increasing the discharge voltage resulted in the transition of the interface waveform from flat to wavy, and the site of tensile failure changed from the welding interface to the Al base metal. The results of element analysis showed that there was a transition zone consisting of Al-Cu intermetallic compounds at the interface. This transition zone would change from intermittent to continuous and become thicker after increasing the discharge voltage. Variations in discharge voltage can change the resistivity, thickness, and area of the welding region, which in turn affects the joint resistance.

为探究带集磁器结构的异种金属管材磁脉冲胀形连接新方法,分析了集磁器条件下电磁力分布和铝管的胀形连接行为规律,通过连接接头拉脱实验,研究了主要工艺参数对磁脉冲胀形连接效果的影响.结果表明:集磁器显著提高了铝管胀形区电磁力,铝管与集磁器工作区的搭接长度对铝管胀形变形影响较大,当搭接长度为集磁器工作区长度的1.5倍时,获得了最大的有效接触面积;在外管仅发生弹性变形时,碰撞压力与放电电压呈正相关,接头抗拉脱载荷随放电电压增大而增大;在相同条件下,接头抗拉脱载荷随着径向间隙的增大呈现出先增大后减小的变化趋势,当放电电压为17 kV、径向间隙为4.0 mm、搭接长度为15 mm时,接头抗拉脱载荷最大,达到5021 N.

为提高电磁铆接接头质量,在210 V放电电压下分别对20 ℃和加热到100,200和300 ℃的TB2铆钉进行电磁铆接工艺试验,并对铆钉镦头微观组织进行观察,分析绝热剪切带内微观组织演变及剪切带的形成机制.结果表明,随着初始温度的升高、铆钉的变形量增加,当温度达到300℃时,TB2铆钉最大变形量接近58%,相比于20℃时提高了20%.观察到绝热剪切变形过程中剪切带经历萌生、扩展到断裂3个阶段,初始温度的升高会延缓剪切带的出现,剪切带的宽度受温度和变形量两个因素的影响.从过渡区域到剪切带中心方向上的位错密度逐渐降低,拉长的大晶粒内存在位错胞,随着变形量的增加,大晶粒逐渐破碎成等轴纳米级晶粒,符合旋转动态再结晶晶粒形成的特征.

本实用新型提出一种金属板材双面同时镀层的装置,通过使金属箔片汽化来驱动覆板碰撞作为基板的板材来形成镀层,所述覆板包括分置于基板上方的覆板A和置于基板下方的覆板B;所述金属箔片分别置于覆板A上方、覆板B下方,通过压箔铜块、导电铜块、压线铜块与电源输出电极相连,形成电流回路;所述装置在基板与覆板间设置垫片以使基板与覆板间留有用于覆板加速的间隔;当电流回路传导瞬时脉冲大电流时,金属箔片升温汽化,驱动覆板高速碰撞基板的上表面和下表面,覆板通过固相冶金结合与基板表面连接并形成镀层;本实用新型解决了传统箔汽化焊接方式作用力被削弱的问题,还可根据工况的需求,在基板两侧镀不同的金属板,适用性广。

本实用新型提出一种基于电磁脉冲和弹性颗粒介质管‑板连接装置,所述装置包括由电磁脉冲驱动的冲头(13),所述冲头工作时,其冲击方向上顺序设置弹性颗粒介质(15)、隔绝弹性垫(17)、金属板件(16)和金属管件(20);所述弹性颗粒介质置于上凹模(14)的第一通腔内,冲头滑置于上凹模第一通腔上端,管腔下端以隔绝弹性垫与金属板件分隔;所述金属管件的连接端置于下凹模(18)顶部处,冲头冲力经弹性颗粒介质、隔绝弹性垫驱动金属板件冲击金属管件的连接端,使两者连接;本实用新型可解决现有技术中薄壁管‑板连接过程中受到较大的电磁力容易产生裂纹等不可逆的生产缺陷,以及导电率低的材料感应涡流小导致成形力不足的问题。
