Colour tuning via energy transfer of K2Ba(MoO4)2: Dy3+/Eu3+ phosphors with thermal-stable property SCIE

Abstract :

A set of colour tuning K2Ba(MoO4)(2): Dy3+/Eu3+ (KBM: Dy3+/Eu3+) phosphors were fabricated by solid-state method. The phase purity of as-prepared materials was validated by XRD and DRS analyses. The KBM: 0.03Dy(3+) sample exhibits two major luminescence lines at 481 and 572 nm when excited by 351 nm light, corresponding to Dy3+ ions' typical transitions of F-4(9/2) -> H-6(J) (J = 15/2, 13/2). By introducing Eu3+ ions into KBM: 0.03Dy(3+) phosphor, the ET from Dy3+ to Eu3+ ions arises, leading to colour tuning from green via yellowish green to pink with changing Eu3+ ions' concentration, along with the lowest CCT of KBM: 0.03Dy(3+)/0.03Eu(3+) sample. It can be verified by PLE and PL spectra analysis combined with the decay times of KBM: 0.03Dy(3+)/yEu(3+) samples. The energy transfer mechanism is also expounded. Meanwhile, the emission intensities at 423 K still maintain 72.8% for Dy3+ ions and 91.2% for Eu3+ ions relative to 303 K of the KBM: 0.03Dy(3+)/0.03Eu(3+) sample, displaying its brilliant thermal stability. All these results connote that KBM: Dy3+/Eu3+ phosphors are prospected to be used for the near-UV excited white light-emitting diodes.

Abstract :

Ce9.33(SiO4)6O2 (CSO) crystals were grown by the Czochralski (Cz) method. Rietveld refinement of XRD patterns confirmed the oxyapatite structure of CSO, XPS analysis revealed the valence of Ce ions in CSO crystals. Magnetization curve and temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibility were measured, paramagnetic behavior and magnetic anisotropy have been observed. Photoluminescence and Faraday rotation characteristics of the CSO crystal were investigated at room temperature. Verdet constants of CSO were about 1.6 times as large as those of TGG. Baesd on Van Vleck-Hebb theory, the effective transition wavelength and probability of CSO crystal were calculated and compared with other Ce3+-containing crystals. The absorption and magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectra of 4f -> 5d transitions in Ce3+ ions in CSO crystal were studied.

Abstract :

A series of Dy3+ doped and Dy3+, Eu3+ co-doped NaCaTiTaO6 (NCTT) phosphors with the orthorhombic perovskite-type structures were prepared by a solid-state reaction method. The successful synthesis of the target samples was confirmed through various characterization techniques, such as XRD and Rietveld refinement, SEM, EDX spectroscopy, as well as elemental mapping. The optimal Dy3+ doping concentration of NCTT:xDy3+ under n-UV excitation was 0.10 mol. The phenomenon of efficient energy transfer between Dy3+ and Eu3+ ions was observed in the NCTT:0.1Dy3+/yEu3+ samples, as evidenced by the shortened lifetimes. Meanwhile, in the NCTT:0.1Dy3+/0.15Eu3+ sample, the PL intensity of Eu3+ ion at 420 K still maintained at 72.41% of that at 300 K, while that of Dy3+ ion is 82.35%, displaying its brilliant thermal stability. The performance of the fabricated white LED device using NCTT:0.1Dy3+/0.15Eu3+ as red phosphor was found to be outstanding, with Ra of 88, CCT of 5868 K, as well as excellent CIE chromaticity coordinates (0.325, 0.333), suggesting that NCTT:0.1Dy3+/ 0.15Eu3+ can be used as reddish-orange phosphors for w-LEDs in lightings and displays.

本发明公开了一种含铕、铽的氧基磷灰石稀土硅酸盐磁光晶体及其制备方法。本发明中的磁光晶体分子式为Eu2Tb8(SiO4)6O2,为同成分熔融化合物,可采用中频感应提拉法生长,还原方法方便快捷,生长周期较短、工艺简单,原料成本较低,能够实现批量生产。本发明Eu2Tb8(SiO4)6O2磁光晶体在1064 nm波长处的费尔德常数(Verdet constant)为76‑78 rad/T·m,约是此波段下商品化的TGG晶体的1.9倍。

Abstract :

Dy3+/Tb3+ co-doped scheelite-type Li2Y4(MoO4)(7) (LYM) based phosphors, which exhibit both emissions of Dy3+ and Tb3+ ions, have been fabricated via the solid state method. The phase purity, characteristics of luminescence, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra, energy transfer mechanism as well as decay lifetimes were also investigated. The resultant samples represent color tunable emission caused by the energy transfer from Dy3+ to Tb3+ ions, which verified that the LYM:Dy,Tb phosphors could be regarded as promising materials for optical display system.

Abstract :

A series of novel Li2Y4(MoO4)(7): Ln(3+) (Ln = Dy, Eu) phosphors with color-tunable were prepared through solid-state reaction. The crystal structures, photoluminescence properties, energy transfer process, decay, and chromaticity coordinates were also investigated. The emission color of Li2Y4(MoO4)(7): Ln(3+) (Ln = Dy, Eu) phosphors were tunable from pale yellow to the nearly white position by adjusting the concentrations of Dy3+ and Eu3+ ions or converting the excitation wavelength from 353 nm to 391 nm, and eta ( tau ) could reach 49.33% when y = 0.60. These results indicated that Li2Y4(MoO4)(7): Ln(3+) (Ln = Dy, Eu) may be served as color tunable phosphors.

Abstract :

CaDyAlO4 (CDA) crystals with dimensions of Phi 25 x 28 mm3 were grown by the Czochralski method. The presence of a small amount of oxygen in the growth atmosphere will cause the coloration of CDA crystal, and correspondingly reduce the transmittance in the range of 400-730 nm. Rietveld structural refinement of XRD patterns revealed a slight difference in the unit cell parameters of the brown and yellow-green CDA crystals. The angular and temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibility were measured, indicating that CDA crystal has remarkable magnetic anisotropy and abnormal magnetic behavior in the a and c direction below 150 K. Faraday rotation characteristics of CDA crystal were investigated at room temperature. Verdet constant of CDA at 500-700 nm band is about 1.1 times as large as that of TGG, but only 0.69 fold of that for isostructural CaTbAlO4 (CTA). Based on the Van Vleck-Hebb theory, the effective transition wavelength and probability of three crystals were calculated and compared. The absorption and magnetic circular dichroism spectra (MCD) of 4f-4f transitions in Dy3+ ions in CDA were studied.

Abstract :

In this account, Dy(9.33-x)Lax(SiO4)(6)O-2 crystals were grown by the Czochralski technique, and their magneto-optical properties were examined. Rietveld structural refinement of XRD patterns illustrated Dy(9.33-x)Lax(SiO4)(6)O-2 possess hexagonal system P6(3)/m with oxyapatite structure. UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy revealed higher transparency in the 420-700 nm spectral region when compared to PSO and TGG crystals. The magneto-optical properties and temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility demonstrate that Dy8.36La0.97(SiO4)(6)O-2 crystals show paramagnetic behavior within the temperature range of 2-300 K and yield a Faraday rotation angle which is approximately 1.16-fold larger than that of Tb3Ga5O12 crystals. Overall, Dy8.36La0.97(SiO4)(6)O-2 crystals look promising for applications in magneto-optical devices in the visible wavelength range.

Abstract :

CeAlO3 crystals were grown in different growth atmospheres by the Czochralski method. The lattice parameters and space group of CeAlO3 crystal were determined by Rietveld structure refinement of X-ray diffraction (XRD) data. The influence of Ce4+ ions in the crystal on the transmittance and crystal color was confirmed by XPS analysis. Magnetization curve at room temperature and temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibility in two different directions were measured, indicating that CeAlO3 crystal has remarkable magnetic anisotropy and there is an abnormal magnetic behavior in the vertical <001> direction in the temperature range of 50-150 K. Faraday characteristics of CeAlO3 crystal were investigated at room temperature. Verdet constants of CeAlO3 at 532, 635 and 1064 nm are about 2.1 times as large as those of CeF3. The reason of large Verdet constants was analyzed based on the Van Vleck-Hebb theory and the magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectrum.

研究了近红外飞秒激光的偏振在太赫兹频率的超快调制.利用抽运-探测光谱技术,通过改变两个脉冲之间的延迟时间可以控制光脉冲的旋转角.在Li:NaTb (WO_4)_2磁光晶体中观察到探测光的偏振随延迟时间变化的高速振荡,振荡信号的中心频率为0.19 THz.这种超快偏振调制现象可以解释为,抽运-探测实验构置中,前向传播的抽运光诱导的光学克尔非线性引起被晶体远端表面所反射的背向传播的探测光脉冲偏振面的额外旋转.通过改变抽运光的圆偏振旋性可以控制探测光调制信号的相位和振幅.实验结果表明,非线性光学克尔效应可以作为一种全新的手段,在磁光晶体中实现近红外飞秒激光以太赫兹频率的超快偏振调控.这将在超快磁光调...
