Abstract :

The extinction coefficient is an important parameter for describing light transmitting properties in the scattering medium. However, the single-point detection way and the large inversion error of the existing techniques cannot satisfy the need for spatial analysis and data application. A novel approach for inversion of extinction coefficient based on range-gated detection utilizing backward scattering of medium is proposed, and an inversion algorithm for extinction coefficient is established utilizing the backscattering signal of multiple adjacent spatial slices of the medium. The method can simultaneously invert transverse multiple-points extinction coefficient and longitudinal profile of extinction coefficient. Further, experiments are conducted in the scattering medium including fog and smoke based on the fabricated range-gated extinction-coefficient detection and inversion system, and the results demonstrate that inversion with the error less than 5% can be achieved at different detection distances, different concentrations and different kinds of scattering mediums. This approach offers a convenient, rapid and accurate means to acquire extinction coefficients, laying the foundation for the development of efficient environmental monitoring and high-quality defogging imaging. © 2024 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Abstract :

The performance of photothermoelectric materials is severely limited by various intrinsic parameters that are difficult to simultaneously modulate, thereby hindering their applications in the fields of photodetectors, solar cells, thermoelectric therapy and so on. In this study, we have prepared suspended films composed of carbon nanotube (CNT) and molybdenum disulfide quantum dots (MoS2 QDs), which demonstrate a remarkable maximum photothermal conversion efficiency of 2201 K·mm2·W−1. This outstanding performance is attributed to the formation of a heterojunction between CNT and MoS2 QDs. Furthermore, the light absorption, temperature coefficient of resistance, and Seebeck coefficient of this suspended film are simultaneously modulated in a direction conducive to enhancing the photothermoelectric effect. Consequently, we have fabricated CNT-CNT/MoS2 QDs p-n junction photodetectors to showcase the improved photoresponse performance. This study presents an innovative approach for modulating multiple intrinsic parameters of photothermoelectric materials, which offers valuable insights for enhancing the performance of corresponding photothermoelectric devices. © 2024 The Authors

Remarkable correlation between input channels of single-channel optimization SCIE

Abstract :

Following general single-channel optimization, input channels are typically treated as independent elements in the transmission matrix. This paper presents compelling evidence of a remarkable correlation between input channels due to the continuous distribution of optimal phase masks. This correlation challenges the previous notion that single-channel optimization is highly sensitive to wavefront changes, such that an obvious focal point still forms even when the optimal phase mask is completely refreshed. Further, this correlation significantly enhances the focus light intensity when the optimized wavefront is seriously impaired. The discovery of this correlation will offer new insights into the physics of a transmission matrix. (c) 2024 Optica Publishing Group

Abstract&Keyword Cite Version(1)

Abstract :

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the association between albumin corrected anion gap (ACAG) and 30-day mortality in septic older adults. Methods: In this study, multivariate Cox regression models and Kaplan-Meier analysis were employed to evaluate the correlation between ACAG and 30-day mortality in septic older adults. Results: After adjustment for potential confounders, each 1 mmol/L increase in ACAG was associated with a 6% increase in 30-day mortality (HR, 1.06 [1.03-1.08], P < 0.001). Higher levels of ACAG in septic older adults were associated with lower 30-day survival rates based on Kaplan-Meier analysis. Conclusions: This study observed a significant correlation between higher ACAG and 30-day mortality in septic older adults, thus indicating the need for increased attention from clinicians for patients with higher ACAG levels. Cooperative correction method for distortion and dispersion of deflected field of view in Risley-prism bionic-human-eye imaging systems SCIE
期刊论文 | 2024 , 32 (4) | OPTICS EXPRESS
Abstract&Keyword Cite Version(2)

Abstract :

The Risley -prism imaging system (RPIS) is a powerful way to achieve bionic human eye imaging with great advantages on large field of view (FOV) and variable resolution imaging owing to the autonomous controlled deflection of light. But the imaging dispersion originating from nonlinear and uneven light deflection results in limited imaging wavelength that seriously hinders its application. The existing solutions for imaging dispersion mainly rely on the hardware, which generally has bulky structure and limited improvement on image. Besides, the existing image evaluation methods for dispersion are not suitable for RPIS due to inhomogeneous dispersion. Herein, this paper systematically analyzes the mechanism and characteristics of dispersion in the RPIS, and proposes a cooperative correction method for image distortion and dispersion of multiple -color imaging, achieving the elimination of distortion and dispersion simultaneously without changing the optical structure. A dispersion evaluation index based on Pearson's correlation coefficient (PCC) is also established, and the objectivity and validity of the index are proved by experiments. Furthermore, a kind of compact RPIS based on an RGB camera is built, and both indoor and outdoor experiments are conducted. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed algorithm has strong universality and robustness for various scenes and targets. Abstract :

Photodetectors play a key role in many applications, such as remote sensing, night vision, reconnaissance, medical imaging, thermal imaging, and chemical detection. With the increasing complexity of photoelectric detection tasks, photodetectors working in different bands are gradually integrated into broad spectral detection for the same scene. Limited by the volume and task module of the integrated system, conventional broad spectral detection tasks often require multiple detectors working in different bands to perform together, which greatly increases the complexity of detection system. Therefore, photodetector enables to response ultra-broadband radiation(UV- vis-IR-THz)has gradually become a subject of great interest in recent years. However, there have been no reports on the review of ultra-broadband photodetectors so far. Hence, this review systematically summarizes the research progresses of ultra-broadband photodetectors in the past ten years. The factors affecting the response performance of photodetectors and the main types of common photodetectors are first described, and then the research progress, development status and challenges are reviewed and suggestions about the future research directions of ultra-broadband photodetectors are also provided.

Abstract :

Abstract :

Current range-gated imaging methods based on triangular or trapezoidal models face significant limitations in terms of the accuracy and precision of three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction. Here, we establish a range-gated 3D super-resolution image reconstruction method based on a Gaussian-range-intensity model. A denoised optimization method for image preprocessing is established to improve the distance accuracy of the reconstruction. The experimental results show that the model can reduce the error of target distance by 64% and possess the reconstruction of multiple kinds of targets with a distance resolution of 1.5 cm and lower noise, realizing better reconstruction results compared with the existing range-gated 3D imaging techniques.
