政府科技伦理治理与人工智能企业科技向善

Abstract :

数智时代下人工智能高速发展所引致的伦理风险引发各方关注,政府科技伦理治理作为确保人工智能企业科技活动可持续发展的重要保障,对促进应对算法偏见与歧视、数据安全挑战与算力误用等社会性风险与依托科技创新增进民众福祉等科技向善行动具有关键意义。研究基于制度理论,将中国A股人工智能上市企业作为研究对象,考察政府科技伦理治理对人工智能企业科技向善的影响机制。结果显示:作为正式制度的政府科技伦理治理对人工智能企业科技向善具有显著的正向驱动作用;作为非正式制度的社会信任与政治关联在政府科技伦理治理与人工智能企业科技向善间起正向调节效应,呈现出非正式制度协同政府科技伦理治理对驱动人工智能企业科技向善具有叠加增益效果;异质性检验结果表明,政府科技伦理治理在区域儒家文化氛围高、企业规模大以及高管股权激励低的样本中,对人工智能企业科技向善的改善作用更明显。研究为数智时代驱动企业科技向善提供了新视角,也为政府与企业应对人工智能伦理风险、增进民众福祉提供经验启示。

Abstract :

以2016—2021年沪深A股上市企业为研究对象,考察了企业科技向善对企业共同富裕的影响机制,并分析了新闻媒体关注度与企业数字化转型内外部因素在企业科技向善与企业共同富裕关系间的调节作用。研究结果显示:(1)企业科技向善对企业共同富裕具有显著的正向影响。(2)新闻媒体关注度与企业数字化转型在企业科技向善与企业共同富裕间起正向调节作用。(3)企业科技向善对企业共同富裕的正向影响效应在区域市场化程度高、行业ESG管理强度大、高新技术企业的样本中更为明显。研究结论既为高质量发展背景下企业科技向善赋能企业共同富裕提供理论支撑,又为企业、新闻媒体、政府等内外治理主体推动企业科技向善嵌入企业共同富裕的实现过程提供了建议。

Abstract :

With its wide range of application scenarios, ChatGPT can effectively empower product research and development, intelligent manufacturing, education, content production, etc., which has a far - reaching impact on promotion of industrial upgrading, development of social productivity, and improvement of production tools. However, ethical risks associated with rapid development of AI in the era of digital intelligence have aroused concern from all sides. As an important guarantee to ensure sustainable and healthy development of the science and technology activities of AI enterprises, the ethical governance of government in science and technology is of key importance to promote the resolution of social risks such as algorithmic bias and discrimination, data security challenges, and misuse of computing power, as well as to promote human well - being via science and technology innovation. Based on institutional theory, the study took listed AI enterprises on the main board of A - shares in China as the research object to test the effect and mechanism of the ethical governance of government in science and technology on science and technology for social good of AI enterprises. As the results have shown, (1) The ethical governance of government in science and technology as a formal institution is positively associated with science and technology for social good of AI enterprises; (2) Social trust and political connection as informal institutions play moderating roles in the relationship between the ethical governance of government in science and technology and science and technology for social good of AI enterprises, showing the overlapping effect of informal institutions in collaboration with the ethical governance of government in science and technology on driving science and technology for social good of AI enterprises; (3) The results of heterogeneity test indicate that the ethical governance of government in science and technology has a more significant effect on improving science and technology for social good of AI enterprises in samples with high regional Confucianism, large sizes, and low executive equity incentives. Based on above, the study provides new perspectives on driving corporate science and technology for social good in the era of digital intelligence and empirical insights for the government and enterprises to address ethical risks of AI and promote human well - being, bridging the gap of prior research that ignores the critical influence of science and technology ethics policies on corporate science and technology for social good in government - dominated formal systems. Moreover, from practical perspectives, the government should accelerate the process of the ethical governance of science and technology in the field of AI, strengthen the safety bottom line, promote AI enterprises to build explainable AI, and protect user privacy and data security. Meanwhile, the government needs to strengthen the construction of agile governance capacity, led by the government to create a dynamic linkage ecosystem with the participation of enterprises, academics, news media, and other diversified subjects, to enhance the government’ s forward - looking governance level of ethical risks of AI. In response to the ethical governance of government in science and technology, which includes the principles of promoting human well - being and controlling risks reasonably, AI enterprises, under the guidance of regulations and regulatory policies, take the initiative to implement self - governance and self - regulation actions such as integrating ethics into corporate culture and values, incorporating ethical values into the design of products / services, and introducing ethical risk assessment mechanisms for AI products / services, so as to realize ethical business decision - making and take into account both short - term and long - term interests, thus promoting science and technology for social good. © 2024 Editorial Department of Studies in Science of Science. Abstract :

平台的开放共享特征促使用户更主动地参与到价值创造活动中,企业吸纳用户参与创新过程成为其提升创新能力的重要途径。从认知—情感双重视角出发,以创新自我效能感、情感承诺为中介变量,以主动型人格为调节变量,探究开放式创新平台激励与约束机制对用户创新行为的影响机制及边界条件。结果显示,开放式创新平台激励机制、约束机制对用户创新行为均具有正向影响;创新自我效能感与情感承诺分别在开放式创新平台激励机制、约束机制与用户创新行为间发挥部分中介作用;主动型人格分别在开放式创新平台激励机制、约束机制与用户创新行为间发挥正向调节作用。

Linking low-carbon practices with ESG performances: Exploration evidence from the configurational perspective SCIE

Abstract :

Corporates face high uncertainty ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) outcomes when they strive to convert their low-carbon practices (LCPs) into sustainable business opportunities. This study aims to explore the complex causation behind corporates' LCPs and uncertain ESG performances and reveal the collaboration effect among single pillars of ESG on LCPs in practice. Based on the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method (fsQCA), this study investigated the LCPs of Chinese listed firms from the start-up to developmental stages in three dimensions (environmental, social, and governance). Seven equivalent configurations of the LCPs with high ESG performance were found in 2015 and 2019, which are classified into triple-dimension collaborative (Ha1, Ha2, Hb1, and Hb2), dual-dimension supportive (Ha3 and Hb4), and single-dimension driven (Hb3) types. Comparing across stages, the core presenting factors display a change of configurations focuses from resource-dependency to disclosure-support, signifying the reducing constraint of internal resources on daily LCPs in the later developing stage while the increasing reliance on information disclosure. The single-dimension driven configuration in the later stage further reveals the existence of a weak causal link between corporates' ESG outcomes and LCPs because of the dominant reliance on information disclosure and lacking substantive inputs and outputs. By introducing social logic value, configurations offer practical guidelines for corporates' LCPs implementations to gain a win-win situation and provide valuable insights into the identification of opportunistic behaviors assessment.

Abstract :

企业科技向善作为引导企业与社会共生共益,增进用户价值与社会福祉的商业准则,受到理论与实务界的广泛关注。然而,已有研究尚未系统性构建评价中国企业科技向善水平的综合指标体系。基于此,本研究从理念文化、行动实践与治理制度三重维度建立评价体系,同时运用熵值法测算中国企业科技向善水平指数。研究结果显示,中国企业科技向善水平指数整体呈现攀升态势,其演进历程可分为初始萌芽阶段、形成共识阶段、快速发展阶段,这主要得益于三重维度的协同作用;中国企业科技向善水平指数呈现企业异质性、行业异质性特点,这与企业间资源禀赋差异性,行业间在环境、社会与治理领域管理强度不同存在潜在关联。

Abstract :

本研究整合资源基础理论、社会身份认同理论和制度理论探讨企业科技向善对企业创新绩效的影响机制,考察共享愿景能力的中介作用及制度压力的调节作用,并基于2016-2021年中国A股441家上市公司相关数据,借助OLS回归方法进行实证检验.结果显示:企业科技向善有助于提升企业创新绩效;共享愿景能力在企业科技向善与企业创新绩效间具有中介作用;规制性压力、规范性压力和模仿性压力正向调节了企业科技向善与企业创新绩效间的关系;企业科技向善对企业创新绩效的正向影响效应在规模大、国有企业样本中更为强烈.研究结果在推动资源基础理论、社会身份认同理论和制度理论等成熟理论成果向企业科技向善研究领域延伸、拓展已有理论应用边界的同时,在一定程度上打开了企业科技向善与企业创新绩效的关联机制"黑箱"并提供实证证据支撑,也为企业改善创新绩效过程中积极践行科技向善提供了实践参考.

Abstract :

Sustainable development is the global overarching paradigm and essential for achieving economic, social, and environmental development. The primary goal of this study is to compare the efficiency of sustainable development and evaluate its influencing factors across the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) and G7 (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and United States) countries by examining total factor productivity, efficiency change, and technological change. For this, we adopted the super-efficiency SBM-DEA model with undesirable output and Global Malmquist-Luenberger (GML) productivity index model to overcome inaccurate efficiency results while avoiding environmentally unwanted outputs and to resolve the shortcomings of the conventional Malmquist-Luenberger index. It is also necessary to explore relevant influencing factors on the environmental pollution thereby affects the sustainable development efficiency of the study countries, thus, this study employed STIRPAT approach. A panel data of BRICS and G7 countries from 2005 to 2015 is used. The findings reveal that sustainable total factor productivity (GML) in China (1.0165), the US (1.0150), and UK (1.0024) is on the rise. China is also one of the countries that experienced the highest positive efficiency change (GMLEC) (1.0147) and the US has the highest positive technical change (GMLTC) (1.0103). Contrarily, Russia experienced the highest decline in GMLTC (0.9316) as well as GML indexes (0.9337), whereas South Africa experienced the highest decline in GMLEC (0.9707). Additionally, GDP per capita (.0969) and population (.4178) have a positive influence on CO2 emissions in the BRICS countries, whereas in the G7 nations, GDP per capita (-.2180) and population (-.1249) have negative influences on CO2 emissions. The study also offers practical recommendations to address identified limitations and improve sustainable productivity and environmental efficiency. The inverse link between GDP and CO2 emissions might imply that the G7 nations have passed the turning point on an environmental Kuznets curve (EKC), but this finding does not support the EKC hypothesis in the BRICS nations.

Abstract :

辱虐管理作为负面领导方式的典型代表,近年来受到学术界的持续关注.然而,当前辱虐管理对员工层面结果变量影响效应研究结论存在争议.文章基于情感事件理论与Meta分析,从员工工作态度、行为、绩效与创新出发,系统性梳理121篇国内辱虐管理的实证研究.研究结果表明:辱虐管理对员工工作态度、行为、绩效与创新四类结果变量有显著的负向影响.具体来看,辱虐管理对工作态度方面的组织认同、工作投入与工作满意度负向影响依次递减,工作行为方面对角色外行为负面影响高于角色内行为,工作绩效方面对关系绩效负面影响高于任务绩效.上述关系受到地区属性、组织属性、员工类型及测量维度等四项情境与方法因素的调节.上述结论在厘清辱虐管理对员工层面结果变量影响效应的同时,也为组织管理实践提供理论支撑.

Abstract :

数字时代的生产要素正在重新组合以创造新的消费需求或挖掘潜在需求,成为供给创造需求的载体。数字经济影响创新驱动的要素包括供给创新与需求创造。其中,供给创新以技术创新、原材料创新以及组织创新的形式呈现,需求侧变革则呈现出场景创新、数字营销创新以及渠道创新的特征。运用国内智能手机行业的数据对数字经济背景下创新驱动的影响因素和完成路径进行实证分析,结果表明:数字经济下创新驱动遵循“供给创新—需求变革—消费增加”的路径,而且供给曲线和需求曲线的交点呈现数量递增趋势,供给创新与需求变革互动实现“供给创造需求”。因此,应将数字产业以点带面辐射至市场经济各个领域,挖掘潜藏在数据中的产品价值和用户价值以推动需求变革并构建与创新驱动相适应的一体化管理体系。
