Abstract :
To explore the innovation strategy choices of supply chain companies when lead users participate in research and development, a supply chain System consisting of a manufacturer and a retailer was constructed, which simultaneously produced and sold both conventional products and innovative products that were interchangeable. The closed innovation strategy, lead user innovation strategy and a supply chain coordination strategy based on 'cost sharing and benefit sharing' were proposed. The three strategies were compared and analyzed using Stackeiberg game method. Additionally, the impact of consumer heterogeneity on supply chain innovation decisions was taken into consideration, and numerical analysis was conducted on the decision results with varying costs of independent innovation for manufacture. The results indicated that the lead user innovation strategy could compensate for the short-comings of closed innovation; the execution effectiveness of the innovation strategy could be improved by selecting lead users; changes in the market and innovation strategy might impact supply chain decisions and conventional product pricing; the adoption of the 'cost sharing and benefit sharing' model could improve the profitability of the manufacturer to some extent. © 2025 CIMS. Abstract :
The effective evaluation and improvement of agricultural green total factor energy efficiency (AGTFEE) are crucial for guiding sustainable agricultural development. The directional distance function (DDF), which can evaluate efficiency values and provide efficiency improvement paths, has attracted widespread attention. However, most existing research on DDF is based on the farthest target principle, often resulting in costly efficiency improvement paths. To address this issue, this study proposes a novel cross-DDF based on a learning network under the closest target principle. The proposed model is applied to dynamically analyze AGTFEE in China from 2013 to 2022 at different levels. Compared with existing research, the proposed model offers more feasible and cost-effective quantitative paths for improving AGTFEE. Moreover, the proposed model constructs a learning network based on the interactions among decision-making units for peer evaluation, avoiding inflated efficiency values. The empirical results highlight three main findings. First, over the decade from 2013 to 2022, China's AGTFEE has exhibited a positive trend, achieving significant progress. Second, during the same period, the balance and consistency of AGTFEE development have improved. However, differences remain among regions and provinces, with the distribution pattern showing "best in the east, followed by the west, and relatively poor in the center." Third, there are differences in the improvement paths for AGTFEE among provinces. For instance, to improve AGTFEE in Hebei Province in 2022, it is necessary to significantly reduce the amount of pesticides used in the agricultural production process.

Abstract :
Inverse data envelopment analysis (DEA) method is a useful tool for analyzing the optimization of resource allocation of a set of homogeneous decision-making units (DMUs). However, the assumption of homogeneity for DMUs is not necessarily applied in reality. For example, universities with the same input structure cultivate students with different orientations; power plants consume different resources to generate electricity. Therefore, how to handle nonhomogeneous DMUs in inverse DEA becomes an issue when analyzing the optimization of resource allocation. In this study, an inverse DEA method for nonhomogeneous DMUs under constant returns to scale (CRS) is proposed to handle the aforementioned issue. Furthermore, the inverse DEA method for nonhomogeneous DMUs is extended to the case of variable returns to scale (VRS). The adjustment range of inputs-outputs under VRS is discussed to avoid the problem of infeasibility, and relevant properties of our method are proved. Moreover, the effect of frontier changes on the proposed method is also discussed. Finally, numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of our method.

Abstract :
As an important resource allocation and production analysis method, the existing inverse data envelopment analysis (Inverse DEA) methods generally ignore the production trade-offs in the production process. However, in some managerial practice, decision makers (DMs) generally have value judgements concerning the importance of inputs and outputs. These value judgements reflect the production trade-offs of DMs for different inputs and outputs and influence the production process. Therefore, this study investigates the inverse DEA method with production trade-offs. By analyzing the effect of production trade-offs on efficient frontier, this study reveals that the existing methods for identifying the limitations of changed range of inputs and outputs in inverse DEA model under variable returns to scale (VRS) are invalid when considering the production trade-offs, and based on this, the new inverse DEA methods with production trade-offs for resource allocation and production analysis are developed. Moreover, the limitations of changed range of inputs and outputs of the proposed methods are identified, thus avoiding the problem of infeasible solutions. In addition, the application scenarios and practical values of the proposed methods are discussed. Finally, two examples are provided to illustrate the rationality and effectiveness of our approaches.

Abstract :
Establishing an innovation ecosystem revitalizes enterprises by fostering collaboration with other entities within the system. This collaboration results in increased resources for innovation and development, further strengthening participants' innovation and survival capacities. As the existing literature on collaborative innovation behavior within innovation ecosystems is relatively limited, the primary objective of this study is to investigate the evolutionary process and impact factors of players' collaborative innovation behavior in the enterprise innovation ecosystem (EIE). This study establishes an evolutionary game (EG) model that includes three players in an EIE to analyze their collaborative innovation behaviors in scenarios where their initial strategic probabilities are low, medium, and high. The simulation results indicate the existence of six potential evolutionary stable strategies (ESSs) within the system. The ideal ESS identified in this three-party evolutionary game model is characterized by "active collaboration, active collaboration, participation". Furthermore, the player's behaviors in different states are affected by initial probability, synergy sensitivity, transformation efficiency, output elasticity, subsidy, punishment, and public impact. The results of this study reveal the mechanism of collaborative innovation behavior among different players in the EIE, providing beneficial references for its sustainable development.

Abstract :
Decision-maker (DM) can assign the weights of the distance measures in the relative closeness of technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) for achieving his/her desirable ranking of alternatives. This phenomenon is called strategically setting distance measure weights in this study, which may affect the fairness of the results. In order to prevent this phenomenon, the idea of data envelopment analysis (DEA) is introduced to determine the objective weights of distance measures, and an improved TOPSIS is proposed in this study. The proposed method not only determines weights of the distance measures from an objective perspective and achieves the fully ranking of alternatives, but also provides the directions for improvement. Moreover, in comparison with the other methods, the advantages of the proposed method are analyzed, and the meanings and properties of the new relative closeness are discussed and proved. Finally, an example of evaluating the innovation development of high-tech industries in central and western regions of China is investigated to illustrate the effectiveness and the usefulness of the proposed method.

Abstract :
Multi-granularity probabilistic linguistic Z-number (PLZN) is an effective and flexible tool for expressing expert opinions. For group decision-making (GDM) problems with multi-granularity PLZN preference relations (PLZNPRs), this paper proposes a GDM method based on data envelopment analysis cross-evaluation (DEA-CE) model and expert credibility. First, as the foundation for solving GDM problems with multi-granularity PLZNPRs, this paper reveals the inadequacies of existing methods on transformation and comparison between multi-granularity PLZNs through arithmetic examples. After analyzing these inadequacies, this paper proposes the novel transformation and comparison methods with better performances. Second, to obtain the priorities of multi-granularity PLZNPRs more efficiently, DEA-CE model is introduced and the effectiveness of introducing DEA-CE model is demonstrated. The superiority of introducing DEA-CE model is that it requires no further adjustment of preference relations at any consistency level, which helps to maximize the retention of original information. Third, the subjective expert weights determined based on realistic situations are objectively adjusted using the expert credibility calculated according to the information quality, making the results more reasonable. Finally, this paper illustrates by two case examples that the proposed model can be well adapted to GDM problems with all sizes, regardless of the numbers of decision variables and experts.

Abstract :
The probabilistic linguistic term set (PLTS) shows great superiority in expressing decision-makers' opinions. The multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problem under a PLTS environment has gained attention from numerous scholars. However, the majority of current studies are not precise enough in capturing information on PLTS. To address this problem, this paper presents a preference ranking organization method for enrichment of evaluations (PROMETHEE) based on the redefined PLTS and novel score function to solve MADM problems under a PLTS environment. First, an asymmetric normalized PLTS based on prospect theory (ANPLTSPT) is developed. Compared with the PLTS, ANPLTSPT offers a more realistic portrayal of decision-makers' psychological state while ensuring the superiority of the PLTS. Second, regarding the structural complexity of ANPLTSPT, this paper attempts to simplify the computational process through a score function that can embody the characteristics of ANPLTSPT. Inspired by previously formulated score functions, a novel score function called Score-InInHe is developed, the corresponding definitions are given, and some further properties are discussed. With the support of the proposed Score-InInHe, the total score entropy is defined and an objective method to determine the attribute weights is proposed. Finally, the proposed approach is applied to the selection of a green supplier and the determination of air quality. The validity and realistic applicability of the proposed approach are demonstrated through comparative analyses and discussions.

Abstract :
PurposeThree-parameter interval grey numbers (TPIGNs) have been extensively studied as an extended form of interval numbers. However, most existing TPIGN multi-attribute decision-making methods only consider the similarity of positions, ignore the similarity of developmental directions and focus primarily on static evaluation. To address these limitations, in this study, the authors propose a dynamic technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) based on modified Jaccard similarity and angle similarity for TPIGNs.Design/methodology/approachFirst, the authors extend Jaccard similarity to a TPIGN environment to represent positional similarity. A simple example is provided to illustrate the limitations of the traditional Jaccard similarity. Then, the authors introduce an angle similarity measure to represent developmental directional similarity. Finally, a dynamic TOPSIS model is constructed by incorporating time-series data into conventional two-dimensional static data. Stage weights are obtained by an objective function designed to maximize the amount and minimize the fluctuation of decision information. A quadratic weighting method is adopted to derive the overall evaluation value of alternatives.FindingsTo evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, this study takes the pre-assessment of ice disaster and the selection of cooperative enterprises as examples. The authors then provide the results of comparative and sensitivity analyses, which demonstrate the effectiveness and flexibility of the proposed method.Originality/valueThe proposed TOPSIS method in a TPIGN environment can take a more holistic and dynamic perspective for decision-making, which helps mitigate the limitations of single-perspective or static evaluations.
