Abstract:
A series of adsorptive materials which contain Ni, Co, W and Si were prepared by several methods. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman, ultraviolet visible spectroscopy (UV-vis) and N-2-physisorption were used to investigate surface characterization and pore structures. The results showed that samples prepared by two-step method were complete amorphous cosolute structures with the special covering layers. The analysis of NH3-temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD) illustrated that the different introduction methods of Co and W would made the distribution of acid sites of samples adjustable. When these adsorptive materials were mixed with real diesel (Chinese IV standard, initial concentration of sulfur-containing compounds C-0 = 32.78 mgS l(-1), adsorbents/oil ratio of 1 g/30 ml) at 60 degrees C for 2 h, the best desulfurization rate could reach 41.20%. This study of cosolute amorphous material could provide a reference for further studies.
