Abstract:
The effects of sintered temperature, composition and rare earth ions on the crystal structure and microwave dielectric properties of Ca(1-3x)Ln(2x)TiO(3)(x=0.13, 0.2; Ln=La, Nd, Sm) ceramics were investigated. From the X-ray diffraction patterns, orthorhombic perovskite phase was formed in Ca(1-3x)Ln(2x)TiO(3)(x=0.13, 0.2; Ln=La, Nd, Sm) ceramics, while the secondary phase Sm2Ti2O7 was formed in Ca(1-3x)Ln(2x)TiO(3)(x=0.2; Ln=Sm) ceramic. The microwave dielectric properties of the samples at x=0.13 are better than that of the samples at x=0.2. Ca(1-3x)Ln(2x)TiO(3)(x=0.13, Ln=La, Nd, Sm) ceramics display the microwave dielectric properties as follows: epsilon=119.6, Qf =10 674 GHz, tau(f)=304.4 x 10(-6)/degrees C for Ln=La; epsilon=108.9, Qf =14 919GHz, tau(f) =236.2 x 10(-6)/degrees C for Ln=Nd; epsilon=101.3, Qf =14 485GHz, tau(f)=186.6 x 10(-6)/ degrees C for x=0.13, Ln =Sm.
