The　title　nickel　complex　with　1,2-disalicyloylhydrazine,　[Ni(en)(3)](2+).H(2)dsh(2-),　has　been　synthesized.　It　crystallizes　in　orthorhombic,　space　group　P2(1)2(1)2(1)　with　a　=　10.5094(4),　b　=　12.5003(8),　c　=　17.487(1)　Angstrom,　V　=　2297.2(2)　Angstrom(3),　Z　=　4,　M-r　=　509.26,　D-c　=　1.472　g/cm(3),　mu　=　0.889　mm(-1),　F(000)　=　1080,　R　=　0.0327　and　wR　=　0.0375.　Six　nitrogen　atoms　of　three　ethylenediamine　ligands　in　the　cation　coordinate　to　the　Ni(II)　ion,　forming　a　distorted　octahedron.　The　bond　distances　of　Ni(II)-N(en)　range　from　2.110(3)　to　2.151(2)　Angstrom.　The　neighboring　molecules　of　the　title　complex　are　linked　by　intermolecular　N-H...O　hydrogen　bonds　between　[Ni(en)(3)](2+)　dications　and　H(2)dsh(2-)　dianions,　forming　a　two-dimensional　network.
