Abstract:
To investigate the rule and mechanism of the rate and extent of rebar corrision in high performance concrete(HPC), 12 HPC mix proportions(considered fly ash, slag and anti-corrosion admixtures) were designed and each concrete specimen prism was inserted with two embedded rebar and the rebar were connected to external direct current techniques to accelerate the corosion. To measure the rate of corosion, electrochemical methods were used. For intuitive center dot perception, observations of the corrosion products were conducted. The results show that load increased the corrosion rate of rebar in concrete apparently. The extent and rate of corosion as well as the maximum width of crack of the protective layer change with different mineral admixtures and anti-corrosion admixtures. The result of this paper provided technical supports for engineering applications.
