Abstract:

The Bachimen Bridge, a continuous rigid-frame bridge with spans of 90+170+170+90m, was selected as an engineering background in this paper, the structural health monitoring of the bridge was briefly introduced. The determination method of normal limit values and safety threshold values for safety assessment were investigated and proposed using the baseline FE model. An integrated assessment method of bridge safety combined with the uncertain analytical hierarchy process (AHP), the group decision-making theory, the principle of set-valued statistics, gravity center based decision theory and variable weight theory was proposed and applied in safety assessment of the bridge in normal daily weather as well as the strong typhoon weather. The comprehensive analysis remark in the normal daily weather was 95.422, while the remarks in the strong typhoon weather condition were 95.466. The results indicated that the bridge worked well in these conditions.
