Abstract:
Using a self-made shrinkage-restrained ring device with a clapboard, the effect of steel fiber content, sand-binder ratio and water-binder ratio on the cracking resistant behavior of reactive powder concrete (RPC) was investigated by an orthogonal experiment. The study results reveal that steel fiber content has the most significant effect on the cracking resistant behavior of RPC, while for either sand-binder ratio or water-binder ratio this effect is not obvious. With the increase of the steel fiber content, the cracking resistant behavior of RPC improves. The cracking resistant behavior of RPC reaches the optimum when steel fiber content is 3% by volume of RPC. However, the cracking resistant behavior of RPC declines slightly when the steel fiber content reaches 4% by volume of RPC.
