Abstract:

No-arc closing and breaking of contactor is a main method of reliable operation. With the high-speed development In power electronics technology, computer technology and electrical apparatus technology, it is possible for the contactor to realize no-arc closing and breaking operations. This paper presents operation principle, experiment results of intelligent AC contactor and DC contactor. Their structure can be simplified further. The contactors not only realize no-arc dosing and breaking, but also will have higher electrical endurance, operating frequency and better performance indexes. The operation dependability of contactor improves greatly, and realizes saving-material (especially silver) and saving-energy. In addition, the contactors have some other functions, such as fault alarm and communicate with the monitor computer system, etc.
