Abstract:
Experimental study on seismic behavior of fiber-reinforced prestressed wide-beam frames was carried out using MTS load systems. Based on the experiments of two wide-beam frames with steel fiber concrete and one with conventional concrete for comparing under low reversed cyclic loading, the failure pattern, hysteresis behavior, energy dissipation, displacement ductility and rigidity degeneration etc. have been studied. The results show that steel fiber can effectively improve the cracking load, yield strength and ultimate strength, and enhance the rigidity, ductility and energy dissipation of prestressed wide-beam frames.
