Abstract:
Magnetic Bi2WO6-NiFe2O4 visible-light photocatalyst was successfully synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method. The as-prepared photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectra (UV-Vis DRS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and magnetic property measurement system(MPMS). The photocatalytic activities of the photocatalyst were evaluated by degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) in aqueous solution under visible light at different pH value. The results demonstrated that the highest RhB degradation rate (>98%) was achieved by Bi2WO6-NiFe2O4 photocatalyst when the pH was 5. Bi2WO6-NiFe2O4 photocatalyst can be easily separated from solution using an external magnetic field. ©, 2015, Journal of Functional Materials. All right reserved.
