Abstract:

Based on the construction characteristics of concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) arch bridge, addictives were proposed to improve its workability. The research on the influence of addictives on the creep deformation is carried out for the axially compressed CFST members under long term load. The results show that the creep deformation of CFST members increases more than 10%. Age-adjusted Effective Modulus Method (AEMM) is adopted to calculate the deformation of members by four creep models i.e. CEB-FIP 78, CEB-FIP 90, ACI 209R and B3 models. Of four creep models, ACI 209R is the relatively best for predicting the creep deformation of CFST members under long term load in the first 300 days.
