Abstract:
In this paper, the cavitaion resistance of the two refiner plate materials was tested and compared with magnetostriction equipment. The effect of carbide and matrix on material cavitation resistance was discussed. In addition, the cavitation development process was analyzed by SEM. The results showed that net carbide reduces materials cavitation resistance because it dissevers matrix and causes itself to delaminate more easily. Martensitic matrix has better cavitation resistance than austenitic because of its good strength. Cavition failure begins firstly from grain boundary, and then results in carbide or matrix crack and drop.
