Abstract:
Ce-Ni-SBA-15 mesoporous molecular sieves was successfully synthesized by a microwave method, and characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), DR ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometry (DRS), transmission electron microscope and low temperature N2 adsorption-desorption method. The result showed that the Ce and Ni were successfully incorporated into the framework of SBA-15 molecular sieves. Then the Ce-Ni-SBA-15 was loaded with Pt and applied in the CO oxidation reaction, and presences high catalytic activity. The result shows that the lowest complete conversion temperature of the CO on Pt/Ce-Ni-SBA-15 catalyst is 227°C, which is 39°C lower than that of the Pt/SBA-15. Hence one can conclude that Ce-Ni-SBA-15 is a superior support for catalyst.
