Abstract:
This research mainly focuses on reinforcement design scheme of Chongdong double curve arch bridge. Based on local survey and detecting experiment, finite element software was used to establish FEM model and calculating the real working state of bridge. After extensive analysis of bridge defects, reinforcement scheme was designed. Coating of glue carbon fabric at mid portion of main and side span, glue steel plate at the central main arch rib and the spandrel column were designed to be rehabilitated with steel plate cover. Further, 10 cm thick concrete at springing of arch was recommended. On top of that, spandrel arch was designed to rehabilitate with RC concrete and rebuilt for pavement is strongly recommended. The rehabilitated bridge meets the normal working condition and the limiting serviceability condition. It is concluded that after the Chongdong double curve arch bridge are reinforced, the bridge structure bearing capacity is much enhanced, which shows big strength and stiffness, the bearing capacity and work state meet the design and use requirement.
