Abstract:
In order to meet the needs of fashion and functional design in women's wear, an innovative design method involving a mirror-image structure of one-piece raglan sleeves was developed by means of reforming the traditional raglan sleeve structure. In this paper, experimental and contrast methods were used to study the setting of the parameters for important control positions, such as the included angle of the sleeve midline, the width of the armhole cavity and the sleeve width. According to the experimental results, compared with traditional raglan sleeves, the mirror-image structure of one-piece raglan sleeves obviously reduces the difficulty associated with the sleeve-type structure design, while enhancing the stereo shape of the breasts and optimizing the raglan sleeve sewing process method. Therefore, these sleeves are more suitable for women's wear design in the modern fashion era, as well as more productive when using the template method, the high-frequency method process and other advanced processes. © (2019) Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Symposium Proceedings 2019 - 12th Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Symposium, TBIS 2019.
