Abstract:

The electromagnetic switch is an electric appliance that controls a load by energizing a coil to generate an electromagnetic force, and is widely used in a power application. Rapid control prototype verification system for electromagnetic switch based on CompactRIO is introduced in this paper. The LabVIEW program of FPGA, RT controller and host PC are written in the system. The data acquisition realizes synchronous data acquisition of multiple signals, and uses the shared variable technology to transmit the collected data to the upper PC for analysis and storage. The intelligent control realizes the control of starting, holding and breaking. The starting process is controlled by on/off mode; the holding process is controlled by PID coil current closed loop control, which uses digital technology to adjust the PWM duty cycle dynamically; the breaking process realizes demagnetizing quickly by using a three-state control circuit. The reliability of the system is studied by means of experimental tests. The system provides technical support for electromagnetic switch monitoring and intelligent control, which has theoretical and practical significance for shortening product development cycle, reducing development cost and improving switch operation reliability. © 2019 by International Academic Publishers Ltd.
