Abstract:

Incorporating Ultra-wide-band (UWB) technology into multiple transmit and receive antennas (MIMO) is a viable way to improve bit error rate (BER) performance for wireless communications. However, the large number of antennas requires lots of expensive hardware. To reduce the hardware cost and complexity while to enhance BER performance, in this paper, based on knowing entire channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter, we provide an UWB system with transmit antenna selection (TAS). The simulation results confirm a considerable increase in BER performance in UWB channel.
