Abstract：
The title compound {[(n-C4H9)4N]2Ag 4.95Cu(I)1.05I8}n has been prepared from the self-assembling reaction of AgI, Cu(I)I and quaternary ammonium salt [(n-C4H9)4NI] in the DMF solvent at pH = 7, and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction method. It crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with unit cell parameters: a = 9.4342(4), b = 15.7638(7), c = 18.877(1) Å, β = 100.65(1)°, V = 2758.9(2) Å3, C32H72N2Ag4.95Cu 1.05I4, Mr = 1050.39, Dc = 2.529 g/cm3, Z = 2, F(000) = 1930, μ(MoKα) = 6.618 cm-1, R = 0.0476 and wR = 0.1315 for 4158 observed reflections (I >2σ(I)). The title compound consists of cations (n-Bu4N+) and anions ([(M6I8)-]∞).
