Abstract:
An economical nickel-saving casting duplex stainless steel Cr25Mn10Mo4Ni2N was melt in mid-frequency induction furnace and was treated by solid solution treatment. The pitting corrosion property of treated steel was investigated by means of anodic polarization curve and electrochemical impendence spectroscopy(EIS). The corrosion resistance of Cr25Mn10Mo4Ni2N, 2205 duplex stainless steel and 316L austenitic stainless steel in artificial seawater and simulated oilfield water as well as simulated formation water was evaluated comparatively. The results indicate that the nickel-saving casting Cr25Mn10Mo4Ni2N duplex stainless steel exhibits excellent anti-pitting corrosion property, and then 2205 duplex stainless steel, while the 316L austenitic stainless steel is the worst. The corrosion media of simulated formation water shows the strongest aggressive corrosion, followed by the simulated oilfield water, and the last is artificial seawater.
