Abstract:

A soluble poly {(3-propionyl) pyrrole-[2, 5-diyl (p-nitrobenzylidene)]} (PPPDNBE) was prepared in acid medium and the thermal stability, photo-physical property and electrochemical property of PPPDNBE were also studied. TG curve indicates that the initial decomposition temperature of PPPDNBE is 187.41°C. The optical conjugated absorption peaks of PPPDNBE in DMSO solution and film are located at around 476 nm and 484 nm, respectively. PPPDNBE is a sort of orange-emitting polymer materials and the emission wavelength maximum at is observed at 612 nm. The optical band gap and electrochemical band gap of PPPDNBE are measured to be 1.69 eV and 1.62 eV, respectively. Moreover, PPPDNBE could be used as the cathode material of capacitor and the electric quantity enhances gradually with the increase of the voltage scanning rate.
