Abstract：
在大学英语课堂教学中，教师的主导作用有着十分重要的意义。本文首先指出了教师主导作用的内涵和外延，并从教师要主持营造良好的英语课堂教学气氛、恰当运用激励和评价机制和精心设计课堂教学方法和内容三个方面探讨了教师主导作用的实现途径，为促进大学英语教学质量的提高提供一定的参考。
