Abstract:
Metal-halide open frameworks is a family of important inorganic porous crystalline materials not only due to their intriguing architectures for crystal engineering but also for their wide applications in optoelectronic devices, photocatalysis, luminescence, thermochromism, photochromism, and so on. In this review, a survey of the structural chemistry of three-dimensional non-perovskite-type metal-halide open frameworks is presented. In addition, on the basis of current advances in metal-halide open frameworks, the development prospects and the current challenges for such materials are also discussed. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V.
