Abstract:

In recent years, the emerging Janus materials have received more and more attention due to their special wetting structure. With the deepening of people's understanding and research on Janus composite materials, there are more and more corresponding preparation technologies, and the application fields are also expanding. The article briefly introduced the directional transport mechanism of Janus hydrophilic/hydrophobic composite materials; focused on the preparation methods of Janus hydrophilic/hydrophobic composite materials, including electrospinning, material composite, phase separation, photochemical modification, chemical deposition etc., and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of various methods; and the application research progresses of Janus hydrophilic/hydrophobic composites were also summarized. Finally, the preparation technology and application fields of Janus hydrophilic/hydrophobic composite materials were prospected. © 2022, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
