Abstract: Dy3+/Tb3+ co-doped scheelite-type Li2Y4(MoO4)7 (LYM) based phosphors, which exhibit both emissions of Dy3+ and Tb3+ ions, have been fabricated via the solid state method. The phase purity, characteristics of luminescence, UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectra, energy transfer mechanism as well as decay lifetimes were also investigated. The resultant samples represent color tunable emission caused by the energy transfer from Dy3+ to Tb3+ ions, which verified that the LYM:Dy,Tb phosphors could be regarded as promising materials for optical display system. © 2022, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
