Abstract:

The S-S compensated WPT system has the merits of simple structure and high efficiency, but the phase-shift controlled S-S compensated WPT system cannot easily realize soft switching. In this paper, a small capacitor is added at the input port of the rectifier to extend the soft-switching range. When the capacitance is large enough, the soft switching can be realized readily in the full load range, but the price is the increased reactive power. To reduce the capacitance while maintaining soft-switching in the entire load range, a variable-frequency and phase-shift hybrid control is further proposed. At last, a 1.2 kW experimental prototype is built in the lab to verify the proposed scheme. © 2022 IEEE.
