Abstract:

Based on the pre-column derivatization of monosaccharides with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolonethe fingerprints of polysaccharide hydrolysate monosaccharides in the extract of Mesona chinensis Benth was established using reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography HPLC gradient elution/UV detection technologywhich was used for the analysis of the components and content of polysaccharide hydrolyzed monosaccharides in the aqueous extract of Mesona chinensis Benthand eight monosaccharide components including riboserhamnoseglucuronic acidgalacturonic acidglucosegalactosexylose and arabinose were identified. Similarity analysiscluster analysisprincipal component analysis of the HPLC fingerprints of monosaccharide components were carried outand the changes in the contents of galactose galacturonic acid and glucose monosaccharide components in various samples were clarified. Regional differences lead to differences in cluster analysisand there are certain differences in the content and distribution of monosaccharide components produced by polysaccharide hydrolysis in Mesona chinensis Benth collected from different origins. The method can provide a potential technology for characterizing monosaccharide components of the polysaccharide in aqueous extract of Mesona chinensis Benth. © 2023, Youke Publishing Co.,Ltd.
