Abstract:
The development trend of flat panel display is bound to be ultra-high pixel. While the current display is that the driving module is separated from the display module. And the operation speed is slow. When the amount of displayed data is large, the data transmission from the shift register to the column driver and the clock circuit to the row driver will have a time delay. This will increase the connection time between the picture frame and the frame. The computing based on Von Neumann framework is the separation of storage and calculation modules, which reduces the computing speed and integration density. And the display driving circuit based on this framework also has the same problem. Neuromorphic computation based on artificial neurons and artificial synapses is integrated with storage and computation in a device. This greatly improves the operation speed and integration density. In our work, artificial synaptic device was applied to the display driving circuit in order to solve the above dilemmas. The combination of neural morphological devices of artificial synapses and display will reduce the energy consumption of display and improve the speed of operation to realize the integration of display, memory and computing in a device, and brain-like parallel operation. © 2023 IEEE.
