Abstract:
In this paper, a software method for measuring the static characteristics of contactors is proposed for the first time, considering that direct measurement for these characteristics was difficult. First, the electromechanical energy conversion relationship of contactors is summarized, and a complete process which utilized the static flux linkage to solve for the magnetic coenergy and the electromagnetic force is deduced. The theoretical feasibility of this calculation method is verified by finite element simulation. Second, a static-characteristics measuring device adopting 'movable core locking' and 'current closed-loop control' is developed to realize software measurement of static flux linkage and electromagnetic force characteristics. Finally, a whole-process displacement estimator is constructed based on the measured static-characteristics data. It not only indirectly verify the validity of the static-characteristics measurement method, but also realizes displacement estimation for the contactor in the whole making, closing and breaking process for the first time.
