Abstract:
In order to evaluate the shear performance and establish shear capacity formula of L-shaped steel plate reinforced concrete shear wall,a nonlinear finite element model was established and verified by using the experimental results. Additionally, the effects of height-width ratio, axial compression ratio, steel plate thickness, concrete strength and flange length on the shear performance of the shear wall were studied. Finally, the shear capacity formula of the shear wall was proposed. The results indicate the web is the main bearing component of the shear wall. With the decrease of height-width ratio, the shear capacity and initial lateral stiffness of shear wall increase. The shear capacity of the shear wall increases with the increase of axial compression ratio, but the shear capacity begins to decrease when the axial compression ratio exceeds 0.5. The shear capacity formula of the shear wall proposed in this paper has a small discrepancy as compared with the existing formula, which can provide a reference for the future engineering applications. © 2024 Tongji University.
