Abstract:
In application of small and medium power LED lighting, the traditional two-stage LED driver exists in large size, two sets of control circuits and traditional Cuk PFC circuit rectifier bridge conduction loss and other issues. A single-stage LED driver without electrolytic capacitor integrated by a bridgeless Cuk PFC circuit and a DC-DC LLC circuit using silicon carbide power device is proposed, which reduces conduction loss, MOS tube ZVS, and a set of control circuits. Finally, a 200W experimental prototype was designed on the basis of the simulation. In the input voltage range of 185~265Vrms, the PF values of the prototype were obtained to be higher than 0.990, and the THDs were obtained to be less than 15%. at the input voltage of 185Vrms, the PFs and THDs were obtained to be respectively 0.994 and 11.4%. Under full load conditions, the prototype efficiency was obtained up to 92.39% at 205Vrms input. The effectiveness of the proposed driver is verified by simulation and experimental results. © 2023 IEEE.
