Abstract:

Lantian Fifth Changjiang River Bridge in Luzhou is a half-through steel box arch bridge with a span of 570 m. It is the largest span half-through steel box arch bridge under construction. The structural design and construction method of the arch bridge are presented and the design technical points is indicated in this paper. The long-span steel box arch bridge is simulated by MIDAS/Civil to analyze the mechanical properties in the completion state and the construction stage, which can provide reference for the design and construction of similar engineering schemes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
